BABIES ROOM

Babies Rooms

From 3 months

From the age of three months, babies are given new experiences according to their individual needs.

At this young age, babies learn through their senses. Sounds, smells, physical contact, singing games and talking to your baby are vital for their development as well as encouraging physical skills for crawling, standing and walking.

Using the Montessori method we ensure your baby starts learning from birth and that their emotional needs are met through love, care and attention that each baby needs to thrive.

Activities

The play equipment is appropriate to the development stage of younger babies and helps stimulate learning. Enjoying early games, such as peek-a-boo, clapping and finding hidden objects will be part of your baby’s daily play. There will be opportunities for one-to-one interaction with nursery staff and other children.

Babies will begin to experiment with natural materials i.e. water and sand (wet and dry), as well discovering the pleasures of play dough and paint. This will be closely supervised. They will be introduced to simple puzzles. These activities will occur on a regular basis, either in the morning or the afternoon, depending on the routines etc. of the individual children.

The toddlers will continue to access sand, water and painting. They will enjoy using puzzles. These activities will occur on a regular basis, either in the morning or the afternoon, depending on the routines etc. of the individual children. We also encourage parents/carers to let us know of things their children like to do at home, such as playing with the train or dinosaurs. This helps to settle the children into nursery more quickly.

Routines

We have a timetable of activities within our baby rooms. Within this timetable will be incorporated play with both large and small equipment, art and craft activities, stories and familiarisation with picture books and music activities e.g.: musical instruments, singing and dancing etc.

Routine is very important and this is why we make sure we follow your baby’s routine throughout their nursery day. We have nappy changing times throughout the day and of course babies are changed in between these times whenever necessary.

Our staff are very committed and dedicated to the development of the babies and children in our care and are ever sensitive to their needs.
